Evolving Lives Professional Group, LLC
We're so glad you want to be a part of The Campfire with Evolving Lives and Matt Swartz! Don't be overwhelmed — but we do want to make sure you know what you're getting into when you take part in a livestreamed group. Here's the deal:
Who this is for: people who register to participate in the Campfire (turn on a camera, speak, or take the hotseat). People who only watch the public stream are the audience and don't agree to this — but they also can't be brought on camera.
1. What the Campfire is. The Campfire is a free, weekly, publicly livestreamed and recorded group coaching gathering facilitated by Matt Swartz and Evolving Lives Professional Group, LLC ('Evolving Lives' / 'Coach'). It is a coaching and educational experience. By registering to participate (camera, speaking, or the hotseat), you agree to the terms below.
2. Livestream, recording & likeness release. You understand the Campfire is livestreamed publicly and recorded. If you choose to turn on your camera, speak, or take the hotseat, your image, voice, name, and participation may be seen live, recorded, and shared — including in replays, social media clips, quotes, and promotional content — and you consent to Evolving Lives' use of your image, likeness, voice, and participation in livestreams, recordings, and promotional materials in perpetuity, without compensation. You are always free to simply watch and take part in the chat instead.
3. No privacy — this is a public room. Unlike a private coaching group, the Campfire has no expectation of confidentiality or privacy. Anything you say or share may be seen, recorded, and shared by Evolving Lives, other participants, and the public. Share only what you are comfortable being public. Do not share information you need kept private, and be thoughtful about others' privacy as well.
4. This is coaching — not therapy or medical care. Coaching does not involve the diagnosis or treatment of physical or mental disorders, is not a medical service, and is not a substitute for counseling, psychotherapy, physical or mental health care, or substance abuse treatment. You will not use it in place of any form of diagnosis, treatment, or therapy. Coaching is not a substitute for professional advice from qualified legal, medical, financial, business, or other professionals.
5. Not acting under a clinical license. Some Evolving Lives coaches (including Matt Swartz) hold mental health licenses, but these licenses are not utilized within the practice of coaching. In the Campfire, Matt and any other coaches act solely as coaches, are not responsible for any services other than coaching (which is not a licensed service), and cannot and do not make professionally licensed recommendations. Their background may inform their feedback, but nothing said in the Campfire is a licensed clinical recommendation.
6. Your decisions are your responsibility. You acknowledge that deciding how to handle any topic, and implementing any change, is exclusively your responsibility — not the responsibility of Coach, Evolving Lives, or other participants. You are fully responsible for your own physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing, choices, and decisions, including any consequences arising from anything discussed with or suggested by Matt, any coach, or any other participant.
7. The group, and other participants. Feedback in the Campfire may come from Matt, other coaches, or other participants. You agree that no participant, coach, or Evolving Lives can be held liable for any recommendation or suggestion offered. How you choose to act on anything shared is your sole responsibility. You agree to hold harmless Evolving Lives Professional Group, LLC, its coaches, and all other participants from any claims or losses arising out of your participation. You agree to be kind and respectful to everyone in the room.
8. Not for crisis. The Campfire is not appropriate if you are experiencing a crisis or having suicidal or homicidal thoughts. If a life-threatening crisis occurs, call 911, contact a crisis hotline, or go to a hospital emergency room immediately, and follow up with medical and/or psychological professionals.
9. You can leave anytime. You may stop participating, turn off your camera, or leave at any time, for any reason. Evolving Lives may also remove a participant or end anyone's participation at its discretion.
10. Online communication risks. Participation happens online. You consent to participating via online video and acknowledge the inherent risks of online communication (including interception, hacking, or errors in transmission), and you hold Evolving Lives harmless for issues arising from them.
11. Limitation of liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Evolving Lives Professional Group, LLC, its coaches, affiliates, and agents shall not be liable for any incidental, consequential, indirect, special, or punitive damages arising from your participation in the Campfire.
12. Governing law. Evolving Lives representatives follow the laws and professional regulations of the State of Michigan (USA), and the Campfire is considered to take place in the State of Michigan (USA).
By registering to participate, you confirm you have read, understood, and agree to this Campfire Participant Agreement.
